Welcome to the super fun market

Happy food for everyone

Robin sees how strange our food system has become.

Healthy food often costs more than unhealthy food.
Farmers struggle to make a living while shopping baskets keep getting fuller. Your postcode increasingly determines what food you can afford and access. Children no longer know where their food comes from. And often, neither do we. A soil that keeps giving until it is exhausted.

Robin believes there is another way.

A way where good food becomes normal again: Good for you, good for farmers, delicious, and affordable for everyone. With a contribution that reflects what you can afford. And with care for the earth. Simple. No hassle. No hidden agendas. Just accessible to everyone. The way it should be.

This is Robin. The Super Fun Market.

The first Robin comes to Tilburg

Many developments are currently shaping the way our food is produced, distributed, and consumed. These developments affect all of us, from public health and poverty to the way farmers grow our food. Why we are starting Robin, and the challenges we aim to address, can be found here.

This is Robin!

Robin is a cooperative market where farmers and residents work together to ensure affordable, local, and sustainable food. Five to ten local farmers produce food for 2,500 residents. The products include vegetables, fruit, bread, meat, and dairy.

This selection is complemented by European products that are rarely or never produced here, such as citrus fruits, olives, and pasta. This ensures a complete year-round selection of healthy products for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Robin’s first location will be in Tilburg. Members do not purchase their food as anonymous customers, but as active members who pay via a monthly invoice.

The price is tailored to their budget and is, on average, 10 to 25 percent lower than the average.

This is possible because Robin organizes the system differently from the ground up. People with smaller budgets pay 20 to 50 percent less, while those with higher incomes pay the average price.

This social pricing system makes healthy food accessible to everyone. Farmers receive a fair income and can invest in healthy soil and the natural environment. This means Robin is not only good for residents, but also for the environment.

That’s why Robin is such a great market.

We can imagine that you still have a lot of questions after reading about Robin. Here you’ll find many of those questions—and the answers to them.

Our guiding principles

Our guiding principles describe how we make decisions, how we interact with one another, and how we work together.

  • Everyone joins in

Here, everyone has a say. Whether you’re big or small, a farmer or a resident—we make decisions together.

  • Money doesn't set the tone

Paying more doesn't give you more say. We all contribute what we can, and that's enough.

  • Differences surprise, compare, and reinforce

We are not all the same, and that is precisely what makes us strong. We respect each other and our differences.

  • Balance of interests

Farmers, citizens, creators, thinkers—everyone brings something different to the table. We make sure that no single group dominates.

  • Be open and honest

Honest collaboration requires transparency. What we do and how we do it is visible to everyone.

  • By and for the neighborhood

We are deeply rooted in the local community. Everything we do, we do for the people and the environment around us.

  • Sustainability through action

We keep tomorrow in mind when we make decisions today. Socially responsible, fair, and mindful of the planet.

  • Let's get to work together

Being a member isn’t just about putting your name on a list. It means getting involved. By contributing your time, knowledge, or energy, we’ll build something incredible together.

  • Always evolving

We learn from what works and what doesn’t, and we adapt accordingly. That’s how we continue to grow together—drawing on our own strengths without judging others.

  • From all of us

The profits generated by the cooperative are returned to the members and the community—not to individual interests.
